About

In phases since 2004 I have been paddling the main structure of the Rio Grande Basin to learn how this desert river system, and life along it, have changed.

Most of this time has been spent along the main river, from its headwaters near Creede, Colorado, to its mouth, below Brownsville, at the Gulf of Mexico.  Now I am turning toward Rio Grande tributaries, including the Chama, the Puerco, the Pecos, and the Conchos.
